Vodafone 3G Sim Card Quirkiness and Workaround

I had blogged earlier about the grief my Vodafone 3G card was giving me recently and, to add insult to injury, a few days after that post my card just plain stopped working. I took it into the store yesterday and witnessed a most peculiar solution: Putting the sim card in a regular 3G phone and connecting to the Internet fixed the connection problem I was having. FYI, it's something to try if you experience similar issues.
